'We are enormously proud! After a long road, we have finally started the construction of the Dutch Superyacht Tech Campus,' said Wim Beelen, director of development company Larendael.
Investment company Larendael has acquired DECOM Amsterdam from KOOLE Contractors. The company's purchase is part of the larger development of the Dutch Superyacht Tech Campus at the shipyard in Amsterdam's Western Docklands.
We are now well underway with the preparation of the entire site. For example, the dredging of phase 1 was completed today.
Last week a start was made with preparing the site of the Dutch Superyacht Tech Campus for construction. The water will be brought to the right depth and the land will be made ready for foundation work.
Omgevingsdienst Noordzeekanaalgebied, on behalf of the City of Amsterdam and Rijkswaterstaat, has approved the establishment and operation of Dutch Superyacht Tech Campus.
On Tuesday, December 21, we applied for a building permit for the first phase. This phase focuses on building the first three halls with the docks inside. The docks range in length from 110 to 185.
While the soil investigation is in full swing, last week the construction fences were placed around the site. A total of 459 construction fences and 2 gates have been placed this amounts to 1.6 km of construction fences.
